The Law Students’ Union of the University of Cape Coast has presented two separate citations; one in honour of GOIL Company Limited and the other for the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive of GOIL, Mr. Kwame Osei-Prempeh, in appreciation of sponsorship for the union’s Law School events and Law education in general.
The citation expressed gratitude to GOIL for lighting the flame of continuing Law education in Ghana. He thanked GOIL’s CEO for his ‘extraordinary contribution’ to the generation of students, adding: “We hold you in high esteem because you have distinguished yourself as a leader who seeks service over self-interest”.
Receiving the citations, Mr. Osei-Prempeh advised the students to learn harder to achieve their ambition of being called to the bar.
He added that as a lawyer and former Dep. Attorney General, his love for supporting law students comes naturally, charging the students to take their studies seriously so they can become good lawyers in the future.
The Law Students’ Union delegation included Abdul Rahamann Ibrahim, Legal Advisor of the Union, and Patrick Offei.
