The Ghana Commodity Exchange has signed a partnership with Role Model Africa to facilitate internship placement for hundreds of tertiary students across Ghana through the Internship Recruitment Forum.
The forum which is designed to provide students with first hand industry experience has secured placement slots in several companies in various industries across the country.
Through this programme, tertiary students in Ghana have the opportunity to receive structured training to prepare their minds and guide their attitudes to trigger the best of performance before they start their internships.
Talent Manager for Role Model Africa, Mr. Samuel Agyeman-Prempeh shares that “students enter their first work experience with such innocence and optimism which needs to be properly aligned to help them optimize the experience and translate it into career placement.”
Scheduled to take place from July 1 – 3 2020, the Internship Recruitment Forum under the theme ‘Exploring Remote Working Options’, recognises the unusual times the country and world at large are in, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 3-day forum will therefore take place virtually with day sessions on zoom and evening sessions on instagram to provide student participants varied options for their participation and learning.
The CEO for the Ghana Commodity Exchange, Dr. Kadri Alfah commends the efforts of the forum as a laudable one.
