Ghana has, as at 6pm Wednesday, May 13, recorded 5408 cases of COVID-19, an increase of 281 cases within 24 hours.
The number of deaths has also increased from 22 yesterday, to 24.
Most of the deaths, according to Dr. Badu Sarkodie Addo, Head of Public Health Directorate, are associated with underlying health conditions.
According him, in address yesterday, the age range for the deaths are between ages 9 and 82 years.
The country has also so far, recorded 514 recoveries.
Out of the total recorded cases, Greater Accra remains the region with the highest cases, with 4,147, followed by the Ashanti Region with 726 cases.
