GCB Bank has presented 100 Veronica buckets and their accessories to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources as part of the bank’s commitment toward the control of coronavirus in the country.

The ministry will deploy the buckets to needy communities and areas of need it has identified.

The Head of Corporate Affairs Department at the bank, Mr Emmanuel Kojo Kwarteng, donated the buckets on behalf of management.

He explained that the donation forms part of a coordinated programme under GCB’s corporate social responsibility objective of giving back to society.

Mr. Kwarteng said management of the bank under the leadership of Mr. Anselm Ray Sowah, Managing Director, attaches premium to societal needs; hence the investment in health, environment, education and other social programmes designed to improve the people’s lot.

Chief Director of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, Mr. Noah Tumfo – who received the items on behalf of the Minister, Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, expressed his ministry’s appreciation to the bank’s Board and Management for supporting government’s efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I wish to assure you that the buckets will be distributed to areas where they are most needed,” the Chief Director said.
