Jay Kay Industries and Investments has donated a cheque for GH¢100,000 to the COVID-19 Trust Fund set up by the government to aid the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.
In addition, 100 Veronica Buckets valued at GH¢50,000 procured locally was donated to strengthen government’s ongoing social activities to help stop the pandemic from spreading.
In a presentation to the Fund’s Secretatriat, represented by Sophia akuffo and other government officials at the Jubilee House, earlier this week, the management of Jay Kay Group expressed solidarity with Ghanaians and pledged their support in the fight.
The delegation from Jay Kay comprised of the Director, Pawan Aidasani and Biju Prabhaakaran its Chief Financial Officer.
The outbreak of Coronavirus has disrupted every aspect of human life including economic, physical, and mental well-being. Businesses are among the hardest-hit resulting in shutdown of some factories, lay-offs, short-time working, redundancy and disruptions in the global value chain.
Jay Kay Industries and Investments, therefore, commends government for the drastic and decisive measures taken to curb the spread of the Corona virus.
The company has also donated GH¢9000 to feed the vulnerable in Avenor and its neighboring localities in Greater Accra, GH¢10,000 to the CEO Network Ghana’s COVID-19 fund and GH¢5000 to Indian Association of Ghana.
