Kumasi has always been noted as the centre of small businesses and entrepreneurship. The city boasts a great array of businesses, both indigenous and foreign, as well as business personalities of great repute.
With the business climate arguably excellent for startups and young entrepreneurs, Kumasi is fast becoming one of the places where banks, insurance companies and financial houses have pitched camp.
Almost all notable financial institutions have branches in Kumasi, with but a few yet to be represented in the city. Obviously, with all these institutions clamouring for space and market share, the (potential) clients are definitely overwhelmed with marketing and brand activations of products and services.
To cut through this phenomenon, I-Commerce Events – Kumasi’s leading events management firm – in partnership with the Business & Financial Times and Kumasi City Mall put together Kumasi’s first-ever fair uniquely designed for banks, insurance companies and finance management firms on the forecourt of the Kumasi City Mall.
The Banking, Finance & Insurance Expo 2018 saw excellent displays by some of Ghana’s top banks, insurance companies and investment firms. The 2-day event offered patrons a chance to interact with these companies in a relaxed atmosphere over a very serene weekend at the Kumasi City Mall. Exhibitors were Databank, Ideal Finance, Adansi Rural Bank, Energy Commercial Bank and GT Bank. The rest are GCB Bank, Enterprise Life, Enterprise Trustees, Enterprise Insurance and EcoBank.
According to the event’s organiser, I-Commerce Events, this is the first in a series of events specifically targetted at helping these financial institutions to engage better with customers and highlight their products to potential customers.
Exhibitors and patrons at the fair gave a glowing appraisal of the event and entreated event organisers to make the event an annual fair in Kumasi.
The Banking, Finance & Insurance Expo also formed part of the 1st Anniversary of Kumasi City Mall.
