Executive Members of the Ghana-Nigeria Business Council (GNBC) have paid a courtesy call on the Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, Ambassador Femi Michael Abikoye, to show him the Council’s plan for the year 2018.
Founded in September 2013, the GNBC is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organisation with a wide and varied range of business interests in Ghana and Nigeria. The Council aims at promoting the interest of its members and their investments, and at ensuring that policymakers understand how their decisions affect the conduct of business between the two major West African nations.
Mr. Reginald Laryea, Chairman of GNBC, told Ambassador Abikoye that the Council’s itinerary up till April includes a membership-drive leading to elections in May. There will be a workshop on Real Estate Financing, with a Meet the Press event scheduled for September, 2018.
Mr. Laryea said the council will hold a Ghana-Nigeria Fair in Accra during July, with a Conference and Trade Mission Product Fair in November 2018. The year’s activities will be crowned with an end of year get-together for all stakeholders in December 2018.
Ambassador Abikoye congratulated the Council for its efforts in building functional business partnerships and governance between the two countries. The Ambassador pledged his support for the Council with respect to their outlined activities and wider aims and objectives.
