This March, Landtours, the premier destination management company in the country, made Ghana proud by winning the International Seatrade Shore Excursion Challenge in Fort Lauderdale Florida, USA.

The Shore Excursion Presentation Challenge was a pitch session that offered tourism delegates from all over the world the chance to present their own ‘next generation’ shore excursion via a live knock out presentation battle format! The Pitch presentation involved a 4-minute, five-slide presentation to a high-profile judging panel.
Landtours Ghana presented in front of more than 500 elite guests from the international cruise industry and was selected as the best presentation out of 5 finalists.
The organization presented on the ‘Ghana Fishing Experience’, an exciting and immersive tour that allows tourists to encounter the people and rich culture of local fishing communities along Ghana’s Coast. Through this amazing tour, tourists are able to learn about the important role that fishing plays in local communities. Furthermore, they’re able to experience the excitement of fishermen getting ready to go out to sea and observe their unique way of mending fishing nets and boats and even get the chance take part in dragging nets full of fish to the shore while singing fun local work songs.
It was a challenging but amazing competition and Landtours is extremely proud to have represented Ghana at the highest level while showing the richness and uniqueness of Ghanaian culture.
