Mexican investors invite Ghanaian businessmen for partnerships

The Ghana-Mexico Business and Cultural Chamber (GHAMEXCO) has officially been launched in Accra, to identify and explore business opportunities in Ghana and Mexico that will bring both countries together culturally and business-wise.

The key objectives are to identify and shepherd opportunities for the benefit of members, promote the business trade relations between Mexico and Ghana, as well as encourage the development and transfer of knowledge and technology between both countries.

Speaking at the launch which was held at the Mexican Ambassador’s residence, President of the Chamber, Nii Laryea, who is also CEO of the TXT Group, gave an account of the Chamber’s recently concluded and potential investments from Mexico since Ghana’s participation in the World’s Business Forum held in Mexico last year.



He noted that there are a lot of business opportunity that both countries need to take advantage of to grow their economies.

“The Ghana-Mexico Business and Cultural Chamber is a platform for Ghanaian and Mexican companies to explore business and cultural opportunities.

There are a lot of opportunities and we want to be able to package good opportunities to bring Mexico closer to Ghana,” he said, calling on business people in the country to join as members of the Chamber.

In her address, Mexicant Ambassador to Ghana, Maria de los Arrirola Aguirre reiterated Mexico’s readiness to partner Ghana in diverse ways for mutual benefits of both countries.

She therefore urged Ghanaians to come on board to discover and make good use of opportunities in her country.

She said: “We are trying to create an agenda and to see which areas for Mexico and Ghana to work together.”

The key sectors of interest are agriculture, food and beverages, building and construction, manufacturing, alternative energy sector, tourism, transport, waste management, pharmaceuticals, and petroleum.
