Jobberman Ghana has organized a one day job fair dubbed “Instant Hire Job Fair”. It presented Ghana’s largest gathering of employers and employable persons from various industries and backgrounds.
Jobberman Ghana, the organisers, are Ghana’s leading job search portal. With close to half a decade of experience in the Ghanaian market, the brand has successfully place over 50,000 people in various roles across multiple industries. “This event is another avenue to help more people find jobs, that is what we live for”, said a source from the company.
The event begun with a conference/Workshop where participants got insight into what makes one candidate more attractive than the other, CV optimisation, interview aptitude and many more skills that are very relevant in their Job search. Resource persons were drawn from the organisers, Jobberman Ghana, ACCA Ghana, Izwe and Madam MamiSerwa Amoakohene of “Finding The Person Called Me” fame.
Spot interviews were conducted at the event to give participants opportunities and roles in participating organisations. The interviews were conducted by the representatives of the organisations present themselves.
This was done to assure participants that they would have direct contact with the organisations and not third parties. The event also gave room for employers to have contact with people beyond what is on their CV’s and Resumes. This offered the opportunity for better evaluation for recruiting.
All participants had the opportunity to go through the CV Clinic, a part of the fair where participants CVs were checked and re-evaluated to tell the real story about them and also make them attractive to prospective recruiters.
The Instant Hire Job Fair provided a great opportunity to employers who had been struggling to find right talent to hire to fill in roles in their companies.
There was abundance of well qualified and quality personnel available for hire at the fair. Organisations with need had their fill of quality persons to fill any roles they had need of.
If you were looking for work or looking to change jobs, this was the place to be. There were many opportunities available for both fresh graduates and experienced people. Much of what was done, was to prepare people to be the best hire for any organisation.
At the end of the day, many left with their job openings and others had received a better understanding of the job search process and how to land their dream jobs. Altogether, it was an experience worth witnessing for both the jobseekers and employers.
