Vivo energy Ghana, Shell licensee in the country, has officially opened its ultra-modern service station located on the Haatso-Atomic Road in Accra.

The multi-purpose facility, which has a retail shop and an oil servicing centre, also houses an eatery, a barber shop, a pharmacy and ATM terminals.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, which was held at the new station, Bernard Legoff – Vivo Energy Executive Vice President for West Africa – noted that the addition to the company’s many outlets across the country is in line with its objective to continually meet the dynamic needs of its customers, while also cementing its position in the energy sector.

“Our objective is to expand our retail network by bringing the Shell brand closer to our customers, and provide them with high quality fuels, lubricants, shops, restaurants and lube bay services.

“As part of our strategy to provide a superior customer experience, we took the decision to site a state-of-the-art multi-purpose service station in this community, and the opening of this station with partners such as KFC, MBJ Pharmacy, Exotic Trends and ATM Farms is a testament to the convenience that we want to bring to our customers,” he further said.

He also entreated these partners to comply with Health Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards to ensure the smooth running of business at the station.

Mr. Legoff took the opportunity to educate and encourage guests to use the new Shell App – a new App for motorists that gives all the information customers require about Shell to help plan their journeys, purchases and oil-changes. The app also locates quick-service restaurants at all Shell service stations, and offers motorists an opportunity to improve their driving efficiency.

In his welcome address at the event, Ebenezer Faulkner-Managing Director of Vivo Ghana, reiterated the company’s commitment to creating employment opportunities for the citizenry through its business activities.

He said: “Vivo Energy Ghana is fully committed to growing and improving its business to create opportunities for employment, customers, partners and local communities”.

Vivo Energy Ghana was established in 2013 to take over the exclusive distribution and marketing of Shell-branded products in the country. With a vision of creating Africa’s most respected energy business, the company – which is also the Shell licensee in 15 other African countries – currently has 215 service stations in Ghana.
