Directors of Odotobri Rural Bank Limited at Jacobu in the Amansie Central district of Ashanti Region has reiterated the bank’s commitment to ensuring the best and most convenient banking for customers at all times.

According to the Board Chairperson of the Bank, Mrs. Georgina Addai, banking is now a very competitive business and Odotobri Rural Bank is extremely mindful of its banking services to customers.



The bank, according to management, is always looking for opportunities to serve its customers better, and so will spare no effort to ensure customers get the best of banking services in this highly competitive banking environment.

Mrs. Georgina Addai gave these assurances at the recent official opening of the new branch office to relocate the already existing branch at Asawase in Kumasi.

According to her, the relocation is aimed at bringing convenient banking to petty traders in the various Zongo communities within the Asawase enclave, and ultimately take customers who visit the banking hall on daily basis out of congestion.

The new Asawase branch office is a two-story building and has a roomier banking hall, spacious car park, and enough office space for personnel to transact business in confidence as well as a conference hall for official meetings.

She assured customers of delightful customer servicem saying: “We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that customers are happy doing business with us”.

Mr. Annor mentioned that rural banking has evolved into an enviable institution that has given financial hope to many people in the rural and urban communities. This, according to him, has come about due to the hard work of rural and community banks – of which Odotobri Rural Bank is an elite member.

He advised the board and management that to continue their march of progressively satisfying customers and realise their objectives, there is a need to pay extra attention to staff training, compliance and customer care.

Mr. Annor further advised the staff at Asawase branch to show tenacity of purpose and discipline; and also remember at all times that banking is done in a dignified environment and always does the needful to ensure security of customers and staff is adequate at all times.

As at the end of December 2019 financial year, the bank’s total deposits stood at GH¢186million with stated capital at GH¢2.97million. The bank gave loans and advances to the tune of GH¢43million and made profit before tax of GH¢1.69million.

Odotobri Rural Bank currently operates twelve branches, and these include Jacobu, Bekwai, Obuasi, Asawase, Bantama, and Agric Nzema. The rest are Santasi, Maakro, Tafo, Ayigya, Krofrom and Roman Hill.
