Dr. Issah Anafure, Jason Atike’s books made Ghana proud at African Conference

Two Ghanaian Insurance Practitioners, Dr. Issah Anafure, Managing Director – Quality Life Insurance Company and Jason Atike, Administrator – Insurance Brokers Association has won the African Insurance Organization’s (AIO) book awards for 2021.

The event which took place in Lagos, Nigeria during the 47th AIO annual general meeting and conference saw the two Ghanaians authors picking this continental book award amidst applause from the continent’s insurance chieftains.

The two books, one by Dr. Anafure, a comprehensive book in life assurance titled “Practice of Life Assurance in Perspective” and “The Insurance Broker’s Passport” a manual to insurance broking practice in Ghana authored by Rev. Jason Atike – a twenty-two chaptered book is a one stop manual that seeks to provide new and existing insurance brokers with adequate information to assist them in effective running of their businesses.

Dr. Anafure’s book “Practice of Life Assurance in Perspective” was launched in Accra in August by the Commissioner of Insurance, Dr. Justice Yaw Ofori and was reviewed by Prof. Joshua Yindenaba Abor, former Dean of the Department of Finance, University of Ghana Business School.

The book was then presented to the AIO book awards committee for the contest during the 47th AIO Annual Book Awards Ceremony in Lagos.

The book on “The Insurance Broker’s Passport” basically serves as a guide to setting up an insurance broking firm and obtaining an operational license.

It also includes running your business efficiently, and providing excellent customer service to clients with tips of selling and marketing effectively as a broker and leading innovation to remain relevant in the industry.

Both books made the Ghana’s Insurance Industry proud at the continental level. It is the first time Ghanaian insurance practitioners have published a book on insurance issues to be presented for this prestigious AIO book awards which has continued for a while.
