betPawa wants to provide alternative income for youth

The Marketing Coordinator for Betpawa Ghana, Nicholas Bati, has said the company’s focus is to provide alternative incomes for young people.

According to him, the company has many initiatives which will help Ghanaian youth gain access to financial resources that will help them pursue other interests in life.

“Our vision for the Ghanaian youth is to help make their dreams come true, and that is why we have brought up initiatives like the Dream Maker Campaign. We have brought this in order to help individuals, especially, the youth, to realise their dreams,” he said in an interview with the media during the betPawa BIG Toyota RAV4 Giveaway last Saturday held in Accra.

About the event

The Big Toyota RAV4 Giveaway is one of the initiatives to help customers of the betting company have a dream come true, as opportunity was given for customers to participate in betting on any of the English Premier League matches in August to qualify for the draw.

The eight finalists were engaged in a penalty shoot-out to come up with a winner at the end – of which Douglas Ofei Koranteng emerged the overall winner.

Sharing his excitement, he said: “I don’t play football but I did my best to win the penalty shoot-out. I always bet responsibly. I advise everyone to bet responsibly. I appreciate betPawa for such a kind gesture,” he stated.

The Accra-based businessman beat fellow customers Biney, Seth, Seidu, Ezekiel, Solomon, David and Ampofo to take home the Toyota Rav4, while each of them also received cash prizes ranging between GH¢1,500 and GH¢6,000.

The event was supervised and graced with the presence of representatives from the Gaming Commission of Ghana – specifically, the Operations Officer for the Commission, Bernard Ansah, and Johnson Oduro who is the Monitoring and Investigation Officer.

A word of caution was given to customers of the various betting companies, to be aware of the addictive aspect of gambling and know how to place their bet.

The latest betPawa initiative, which is the Dream Maker campaign, was also announced at the event. The most life-changing dreams will be brought to life in October. The Dream Maker campaign is an initiative that is open to everyone in the country above the age of 18, and doesn’t require any betting activity.
