meqasa.com, Ghana’s leading real-estate website – combining the country’s best property search experience with over 45,000 property listings – recorded record traffic figures in June 2020.

Visits to meqasa.com were up 52%, with over 200,000 visits during the month. Leads have also followed the upward trajectory over the course of the month as the country continues to recover, up 61%.

“The surge in traffic is testament to the high level of trust users have in meqasa.com and the increasingly important role we play in the search behaviour of property seekers across the country,” said Kelvin Nyame, CEO of meqasa.com.

“In times of crisis, it is especially important for meqasa.com to stay true to our core purpose of enabling our users to discover and have the best possible experience toward property buying or renting.”

Product innovation has also been a key component for meqasa.com in adapting to the new reality property hunters in Ghana find themselves in. “With the implementation of SOPs toward social distancing, we launched our first online housing fair in June – not only to enable property buyers to see and have all the information they would need to make a decision, but also to allow them to book their choice immediately; all without having to leave the comfort and safety of their own homes,” added Kelvin.

The online housing fair was the first of its kind in Ghana, and attracted over 350 buyers who showed interest in purchasing houses and land in the country. Potential buyers were particularly interested in properties around the East Legon Hills area, Tse Addo, Dzorwulu, Cantonments, Prampram and Oyibi.

In support of the online housing fair, meqasa.com also hosted two incredibly successful webinars. The two webinars featured panellists from top financial institutions in the country, real-estate experts as well as leading real-estate companies. Both events were highly engaging and at full capacity. Over 600 people registered for the webinars worldwide.
