Elevate Africa to convene African leaders in Accra on AfCFTA implementation

Ghana has taken a prominent seat at the table of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission, as a new management team assumes office for the 2026–2030 term. Leading the Commission is General Birame Diop of Senegal, who officially took over the helm at the headquarters in Abuja. Among the key representatives is Amin Amidu Sulemani, who has been appointed as ECOWAS Commissioner for Infrastructure, Energy, and Digitalisation, a portfolio vital to the region’s pursuit of integration and development.
