Of the 20 graduates who celebrated their graduation ceremony from the MultiChoice Talent Factory – West Africa Academy, four students stood out for their brilliance throughout the programme. They are Elvis Asiedu Damptey (Ghana), Samuel Ogundeyi and Abdulaziz Atta (Nigeria).

The two Ghanaians, Elvis Dacosta and Boakye Damptey, shared the third-place position and were awarded a two-week internship at a local film and TV production in South Africa. Abdulaziz Attah came in second and was awarded a two-week Bollywood internship with Zee World while Ogundeyi was announced the overall winner and was awarded an eight-week scholarship to the New York Film Academy (NYFA).

The CEO Award which goes out to young entrepreneurs whose business ideas are exceptional went to our Ghanaian students – the founders of Dare To Dream Company. They also received a grant of N2million (US$1,000) to help them sustain their business.

The Class of 2023 is the latest to emerge from the academy which kicked off in 2018. Addressing the graduates, the Regional Director – MultiChoice West Africa,  John Ugbe, congratulated the students for their “unwavering dedication, creativity and unparalleled talent” while encouraging them to remain steadfast in their craft, continue pushing their creativity limits and use their platform to “amplify voices that need to be heard, advocating for narratives that celebrate who we are authentically”.
