OLEA M&G Insurance Brokers, the brokerage industry leader that has evolved out of the oldest insurance brokerage in Ghana, is in line with its custom over the years leading the effort by corporate Ghana to support the education of Ghanaians about the importance of early detection and signs of Breast Cancer through screening. The company’s latest initiative is aligned with the ongoing Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which runs all through October.

As the fulcrum for its efforts in this regard this year, OLEA will on October 16 at 9am at Alisa Hotel in Accra have a breakfast meeting with its clients under the theme ‘Breast Cancer; Awareness, Prevention and Support’.

This is a continuation of OLEA’s long tradition of supporting Breast Cancer Awareness as a central theme of its commitment to corporate social responsibility. For example, over the years, the company has regularly made donations to support the Breast Cancer Foundation.

This and other related activities by the company have proved crucial in the fight against the most fatal form of cancer in Ghana today – but it is one that can be ameliorated by greater awareness of the dangers, symptoms and medical services available to combat it; and this is precisely what the company does through its interventions.

OLEA M&G has evolved out of the oldest insurance brokerage in Ghana, having started out as Marine & General Brokers Company Limited. Marine & General was rebranded in 2019 following its acquisition by OLEA Insurance Solutions, of which it is now a subsidiary.  OLEA Insurance Solutions is a pan-African insurance broking network with over 20 subsidiaries and 14 partners.

In Ghana, the company operates from Accra and Kumasi and employs 20 staff working in various capacities.

OLEA M&G currently manages over 20 international programmes and placed over US$6million in premiums for 2022 alone.
