ASA Savings & Loans Limited, Alajo Business Centre, has donated items to Rahmah Home of Humanity Foundation at Alajo in the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region.
The items include bags of rice, sugar, flour, maize, gari, cooking oil, palm oil, boxes of biscuits, drinks, water, stationery, boxes of tomato paste, and toiletries, among others.
According to Emmanuel Osae Addo, Area Manager for Newtown, the donation forms part of ASA Savings and Loans’ corporate social responsibility in giving back to the society within which it operates.
“This CSR project is to extend love and care for orphans, who do not have the privilege like children staying with their parents. We pray our support will help in their development and growth,” he said.
He said one of the pillars of Asa Savings and Loans CSR activity is to be committed to helping the poor and needy within the Ghanaian society.
Ms. Emmanuel Taylor, Branch Manager of Alajo Business Centre, said the company supports the communities within which it operates by organising free health screening, supporting some institutions with educational materials, among others.
Mr. Issah Tenno, Headmaster of Rahmah Home of Humanity Foundation, who received the items on behalf of the orphanage, was delighted with the support and show of love by Asa Savings and Loans Limited despite the economic hardship in the country.
He prayed that the company will grow and expand to all the corners of this country.
He said: “On behalf of the orphanage, we wish to express our gratitude for the support you have given us and we pray that Allah will bless you beyond imagination. This gesture will go a long way to relief the orphanage of some basic burden. In fact, this is the largest donation we have received so far and we are thankful”.
