Meet the CEO of Quick Angels

Richard is a young successful Award-winning entrepreneur and an Angel Investor, seen by many as one of the promising global icons. He is a Ghanaian Multinational Businessman with diversified business interests. Richard demonstrates continuous leadership, excellence in business, technical skills in financial and entrepreneurial management as well as project executions.

He is the CEO of Quick Angels Limited; an Angel investor company that seeks to support potential and existing entrepreneurs as well as businesses that want to expand with equity financing.

Established on May 8, 2019, Quick Angels has so far funded over 30 startups and businesses with over 150,000,000 Ghana cedis. The Equity funding initiative by Mr. Richard Nii Armah Quaye is to inspire entrepreneurship and business excellence in Ghana.

Some of the companies that have secured our equity funding include Oya Microcredit Company Ltd, Ridge Medical Centre, Dough Man Foods, Prospectus Ghana, Zaconut, Pinkberry, Coli Network, Alicia (into tilapia), Addicent Foods (rice production-Benjie rice), Dominion Paints-Agatex as the first brand, Sunsolar (into salt production), Sankofa Natural Spices, BEEfA Foods (first product- BEEfA CHIPS), Janam Cosmetics, CEQA Foods (Pizzaman and Chickenman), Burger King (Quick Angels franchise in Ghana), Morning Glory Publication, Mona Brand-Cosmetics, and Clothing and Tigon Creative Studios. These businesses also have direct employees of about 1000.

Richard’s tenacity in championing creativity in new business developments and passion for entrepreneurship propelled him to build the equity financing business “Quick Angels Limited decades after his business Quick credit.

He is also the Founder and Chairman of Quick Credit & Investment Micro-Credit Limited, the biggest micro-credit company licensed by the Bank of Ghana as a Non-Deposit taking Financial Institution.

Quick credit is currently present in all 16 regions of Ghana and is best known for a collateral-free loan.

Quick Credit which a decade started with just 2 branches and later increased to 25 Branches in some regions in Ghana and currently operates remotely across the country with over 100,000 clientele base and over 1000 direct employees.

Quick Credit has grown and extended to other African countries as Oya Micro credit company ltd. He is also the Founder and Chairman of OYA present in Eastern and Western Africa such as Tanzania, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria, and Kenya to help young businesses with loans to support their livelihood.

He has massively contributed to the socioeconomic development of Ghana and beyond

Recognition;

In July and August 2021, he had an honorary Ghana business leaders’ award for his contribution towards economic development, and following his outstanding commitment to remarkable business standards in the investment sector through demonstration of overall high standard service delivery and innovation, he was awarded Outstanding Business Leader of the year (Investment) and Outstanding Business Investor Award at the Ghana Business Standards Awards 2021.

In May 2021 he was named the outstanding financial service entrepreneur of the year and the outstanding CEO of the year at the 11th Ghana Entrepreneur &Corporate Executive Awards 2021.

His business Quick Credit &Investment Micro Credit Limited on May 2021 also won the outstanding SME of the year at the Ghana West Africa Business Excellence Awards

In March 2021, he was appointed The Delegation for Ghana of the Global Chamber of Business Leaders.

Richard won the promising entrepreneur at Ghana Business Awards 2020, he also won the first amongst equals also termed the overall 40 under 40 awards, and defended the investment category award in 2020. Mr. Quaye was selected as part of the 50 young CEOs in Ghana by Avance media in 2020. He won the European CEO Entrepreneur of the year award 2020 organized by Global Business Outlook.

He also received an honorary award at the Young Entrepreneurs Awards 2020 for his massive support of startups in Ghana.

In 2019, he won the investment category 40 under 40 awards.

Richard got featured in ‘’those who inspire’’ a magazine endorsed by the President of Ghana to mentor the young generation in Ghana after careful analysis of his Business module and its impact so far on the younger generation by the team.

Due to his acumen, he has been invited twice to lecture at the Harvard School of Business on entrepreneurship.

Richard is currently the majority shareholder of Quick Credit & Investment Micro-Credit Limited, a micro-credit company.

Born on 21 March 1984 in Jamestown, Accra, he grew up with a passion for Entrepreneurship and he is an Accountant by profession trained by ACCA.
