CEO of iCODE enstooled as Chief of Banso in Western Region

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bonney Group of Companies – with a subsidiary known as iCODE, which is a technology and business innovation hub in Takoradi and Kumasi – known in private life as Prince Bonney and popularly called ‘Smart’, has been enstooled as Chief of Banso in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region, Ghana.

Nana Komfo Amo II becomes his stool name henceforth.

The chief, who is head of iCODE, has trained and supported over 20,000 youth in the Western Region since its inception over eight years ago – in the areas of technological skills and entrepreneurship.

Addressing his subjects and the community for the first time as Nana Komfo Amo II, and indicated that he is poised to bring development to the good people of Banso.

“Developmental projects such as construction of the Agona Banso road network will be lobbied for; I will also seek for investors to build agricultural infrastructure to employ the indigenes, since Banso is a known farming community,” he said.

Nana Komfo Amo II pledged to ensure proper health care delivery for his people by providing a health facility to serve the town.

“I believe we can achieve more, and develop our current situation while focusing on changing and upgrading the status quo,” he added.
