Kingdom Exim Group takes centre-stage at 38th Farmers’ Day Celebration

Leading agro-commodities trading firm Kingdom Exim Group Ghana has taken centre-stage at this year’s Farmers’ Day celebrations by extending support to farmers at the national, regional and district levels.

In all, the Kingdom Exim Group Ghana this year donated about GH¢500,000 to the Ghanaian government at the national, regional and district levels in support of Farmers’ Day celebrations.

Interacting with the media at this year’s celebrations, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kingdom Exim Group who doubles as Chairman of the India-Africa Trade Council (Central and West Africa), Dr. James Rajamani, expressed his profound appreciation to government and Ghana’s gallant farmers who have collaborated so well with Kingdom Exim Group to provide the right agro-commodities for the international market.

He observed that the working relationship between Kingdom Exim Group and Ghanaian farmers over the years has been mutually beneficial, pledging the Group’s continuous support toward the well-being of farmers and residents in communities where the group operates.

Dr. Rajamani noted that the Group deems it very necessary to give back to residents within the various communities in which it operates, saying corporate social responsibility is key on the Group’s agenda.

“It is not only necessary but befitting to give back to communities within our operational enclaves, underscoring the fact that corporate social responsibility is key on the agenda of Kingdom Exim Group,” he said.

Onhis part, Managing Director of Kingdom Exim Group, Immanuel Rajamani, assured farmers and government that there is resolve to build the capacity of farmers and sensitise them on the need to improve and maintain international farming standards in order to survive on the world market.

Kingdom Exim Group specifically supported three regions and seven districts this year toward the 38th Farmers’ Day celebration. The regions are Bono East, Ahafo Region and Upper West Region.

Among the districts that benefitted from the generous support of Kingdom Exim Group Ghana are: Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Techiman North and South, Nkoranza, Jaman North and South, Bole and Sawla districts.

Kingdom Exim Group Ghana supported the 2022 Best Crop Farmer with GH¢25,000. Also, the Group supported the Bono East Region alone with GH¢20,000.

The GH¢500,000 cash support Kingdom Exim Group made to the regions, districts and at the national level celebration was in addition to other packages such as pesticides, weedicides and logistics donated to some farmers.

The 2022 National Farmers’ Day celebration was observed on December 2 in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital.

The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘Accelerating Agricultural Development Through Value Addition’.
