3Foundation partners Trust Hospital to drive breast cancer awareness

3Foundation, a subsidiary of Ghana’s leading media conglomerate, the Media General Group, is collaborating with The Trust Hospital to drive breast cancer awareness in the month of October 2021. The campaign will focus on early diagnosis, treatment and palliative care for women facing this disease.

Media General will be dedicating its multiple platforms including radio, television and digital for the sensitization campaign. There will be weekly educational programmes on TV3 Network, Onua TV, 3FM, Onua FM, Akoma FM in the Ashanti Region and Connect FM in the Western Region. Special educational materials will also be published on www.3news.com.

The Chief Operating Officer of the General Media, Winfred Kingsley Afful said, “we are excited about this partnership as we have annually found creative ways to contribute our quota to the fight against breast cancer. With 3Foundation, we are enriching lives and empowering Ghanaians across the country with several interventions in health, education and community development.”

Around the world, the month of October is annually celebrated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) with international health campaigns organized by major global breast cancer charities throughout the month. In addition to increasing awareness of the disease, they also raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
