Bryan Yaw Acheampong – MP For Abetifi

Honourable Bryan Yaw Acheampong was born on November 27, 1972. He hails from Nkwatia-Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana and belongs to the New Patriotic Party in Parliament representing the Abetifi Constituency.

He was a Minister of State in charge of National Security in the previous NPP administration. He is a man many describe as a perfect gentleman due to his kind and disciplined nature. He is seen as one of the promising leaders emerging on the political scene in the country.

He is the CEO of Intu IT Ghana Limited, and former military personnel of the United States Armed Forces (USAF) between the years 2004 and 2006. Before his enlistment into USAF, he was the CEO of Atrion Limited in 2002 to 2004.

On the educational ladder, he has a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Ghana, a BSc and MBA from the Johnson and Wales University, and a Certificate from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) respectively. 

 

 Betty Nana Efua Krosbi Mensah-MP for Afram Plains North

Hon. Betty Krosbi Nana Efua Mensah is the Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North. She is one of the hardworking minority MPs in Ghana prioritizing the developmental needs of her constituents. She is from Donkorkrom in the Afram Plains enclave in the Eastern Region.

She Deputy Ranking member on Gender Children and Social Protection Committee, a member of the Health Committee of Parliament and a Gender Activist. Betty holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Zenith University College, and a HND in Accounting from the Koforidua Technical University.

Her Constituency Afram Plains is a land of many opportunities ranging from vast agrarian land, water resources, forest reserve, skilled and unskilled labour, and beautiful tourist sites. It is one of the food baskets districts in the country. It supplies grains, fish, and charcoal to many parts of the country.

She loves visiting her constituents and does so with great joy especially trips to her island communities to attend to the needs of her people. She encourages all to take a trip to Afram Plains North to enjoy the tourist sites and also her assist bring more developments to her people. 

 Davis Ansah, Opoku -MP for Mpraeso

With the belief that strong communities are built upon the idea that every person’s success is linked to everyone’s success, Davis is determined to contribute to building a Kwahu state, where everyone, regardless of background, can live up to their highest potential and participate in its success.

Mr Ansah is a public relations consultant and a public interest advocate with more than ten years of agency, corporate, nonprofit and startup experience. He is the Member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He serves as the Deputy Ranking Member of the Public Accounts Committee and a member of the works & Housing Committee of Parliament. He’s worked with the National Health Insurance Authority as Deputy Director (Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive)

As founder and CEO of Siri Communications, an I.T., Public Relations and Media Management Services firm, He has assisted clients both large and small, in industries as varied as high technology and healthcare to Agribusiness and publishing. Davis’ creative ideas and media contacts have contributed to his success.

As a public interest advocate, he served as Director of Communications, then later as Director of Operations for the Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG). This group played a pivotal role in exposing several rots during the NDC administration. He was the usual face and voice during Oman FM’s joint public fora with AFAG.

OPK, as he affectionally called, has been active in the political space of Ghana. He served as the President of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), the New Patriotic Party’s intelligential wing (NPP), during the 2008 elections. He led students of the University of Cape Coast to several community engagements, working hand in hand with then-Chairman Duncan Smith and Regional Executives of the NPP.

In July 2008, during the mammoth rally to outdoor then Candidate Nana Akufo Addo, Davis Opoku was given the honour to speak to Ghana’s youth. This delivery caught the admiration of the top echelon of the party.  Known for his dedication and loyalty to causes he believes in, he has served several General Secretaries of the NPP, including Nana Ohene Ntow, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie Kwabena Agyei Agyepong.

Davis was instrumental in forming the pressure group, Let My Vote Count Movement (LMVC), which played a critical role during the 2012 Presidential Electoral Petition and later sought reforms on the electoral process through advocacy and judicial process.

Passionate about a Kwahu that is seeing development, Mr Opoku Ansah played an instrumental role in forming the Kwahu Professionals Network and currently serves as its first president. Today, KPN has over thousand two hundred members, with branches in the United Kingdom and North America.

Davis is training as a Solicitor in England & Wales at the University of Laws, London, UK.  He studied media and Public Relations at Leicester University. U.K. Davis is a graduate of the prestigious University of London, UK, reading Law and holds a certificate in Strategic Political Communication from the International Academy for Leadership (IAF), Germany. Mr Ansah is an alumnus of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, with a degree in Laboratory Technology and a proud old student of Nkwatia Secondary School, Ghana.

He is married to Anita and blessed with three children.

Joseph Frimpong-MP for Nkawkaw

Joseph Frimpong is the Member of Parliament for the Nkawkaw Constituency in the Eastern Region. He hails from Obo-Kwahu in the same region and was born on 16th July 1969. He holds a Master of Arts in Public Affairs. For most of his work life he was a teacher, having worked as an Assistant lecturer at the University of Education Winneba. He also taught at the Nkawkaw Senior High School and at Sandema Secondary Technical School.

Dr Dickson Adomako Kissi-MP for Anyaa Sowutuom

Dr. Kissi Adomako Dickson is a private medical practioner from Kwahu Mpraeso in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana. He had his secondary education at St Peters Senior High School at Nkwatia-Kwahu and proceeded to Brigham Young University, USA for his BSc in Economics and Chemistry. With a special interest in Medicine and Human biology, he further enrolled with the University of Ghana Medical School where he obtained his Medical Degree.

Dr. Kissi has several years’ experience in the field of medicine. He worked for Tyco Healthcare now called Medtronic in Connecticut for 5 years. He returned to Ghana to do medicine at University of Ghana Medical School, then worked at Police hospital, VRA Akosombo, Panting Hospital and finally as a Private Medical Practitioner at Deseret Hospital, Sowutuom.

He is an avid political contributor and a capacity building advocate with keen interest in socially sustainable projects. He shares in the political views and ideologies of the New Patriotic Party.  He was elected dec 7,2020 as the Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom with 66k votes for him and 33k for the NDC candidate.

Eastern Regional Minister- Seth Kwame Acheampong

Honorable Seth Kwame Acheampong is current Eastern Regional Minister and the former Member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency in the Eastern Region.

Born on Saturday, December 18, 1971 at Atibie Kwahu. He is a man known for his gentle and effective mode of communication. He always gets his messages across in a gentle and reassuring manner, making him a delight to listen to always. His diligent roles as a member of parliament as earned him much respect and recognition in the country’s political space.

He has a Diploma from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Takoradi Technical University, and a Certificate also from GIMPA. He is a contract (construction) engineer by profession.
