NDC Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho has been granted bail, reports say.
Mr. Anyidoho, who has been at the CID headquarters since Tuesday was charged with treason, felony and causing panic for comments government say are treasonable.
He had told an Accra based radio station Happy FM, President Nana Akufo-Addo will be overthrown just like his father was in 1972.
He is expected to be removed from the CID headquarters and moved straight home.
Some NDC bigwigs who thronged the CID headquarters expressed excitement on his release.
Sources indicate that his father, Gen. Anyidoho was one of the sureties who stood for him before he was granted bail.
