West Africa Business Excellence Award (WABEA) 2018 comes off next month at Kempinski

The 2018 West Africa Business Excellence Awards (WABEA), which seeks to provide a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the development of various sectors in the West Africa region to attract investors into West Africa, is expected to come off at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City on 18th May 2018.

The Awards recognize the industry’s merits and set a benchmark for excellence, whilst rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible. The Awards recognizes excellence in industries, sectors and individuals.

The ceremony will be graced by various guests of honour including ambassadors of various West African countries, government officials and representatives from other continents.

The 2018 edition of the awards is under the theme ‘Celebrating Business Excellence in West Africa’  and is expected to have in attendance 100 companies and 400 business leaders, executives, government officials and entrepreneurs from various West African countries.

This year’s event will attract a large attendance and has special individual awardees which includes Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Group; Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, CEO of Groupe Nduom; Mukesh Thawani, CEO of B5 Plus; Aretha Duku, President of Africa Union Assurance; Folorunso Alakija, Chair of Famfa Oil; Dr. Daniel Mckorley, CEO of McDan Shipping; Strive Mayisiwa, CEO of Econet Group; Christiana Olaoye , Managing Director of Energy Bank;   and other most accomplished individuals in Ghana and West Africa as a whole

The event provides a unique platform that is dedicated to the business leaders to engage in thought-provoking discussions, providing excellent networking opportunities, promoting business in West Africa and discussing the best business practices.

The West Africa Business Excellence Awards creates platform for a global exchange of dialogue and exploring business partnerships between the West African nations and the rest of the world and for initiating discussions on the scope of Africa as a potential hub for investment.

The awards, which has huge media awareness will showcase business excellence in West Africa’s industries and sectors to the global stage.
