GLICO General provides insurance package to boxing champion, Emmanuel Tagoe

GLICO GENERAL has presented an insurance package to light weight boxing champion, Emmanuel ‘Game boy’ Tagoe and BabyJet Promotions as the boxer prepares to defend his IBO light weight title on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Trust Emporium.

The insurance package, which is part of GLICO General’s corporate social responsibility undertakings, comprises a Personal Accident cover of GH¢50,000 to Game Boy, a Public Liability Cover of GH¢1,000,000 to BabyJet Promotions for the Bukom Arena on Saturday, and an undisclosed cash amount to support the bout.

BabyJet Promotions called on GLICO to solicit support for Game Boy in view of the fact that GLICO has committed to sports promotion in Ghana over the past three decades.

In his welcome address to the gathering of Game Boy’s fans, the media and key officials of BabyJet Promotions, Mr. Edward Forkuo Kyei, the Managing Director of GLICO LIFE, standing in for the Managing Director of GLICO GENERAL, stated that supporting a champion to win more laurels is a delight and it is in that regard that GLICO has packaged an insurance cover for Game Boy.

Presenting the insurance package to Game Boy, the Group Head, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Nana Efua Rockson, stated that GLICO will continue to safeguard the lives of Ghanaians as it stays true to its promise to ‘cushion you for life’, and that includes Sports as its key Social responsibility.

The Chief Executive Officer of Baby Jet Promotions, Mr. Sammy Anim Addo, was full of gratitude to GLICO and urged all Ghanaians to support and promote the business of GLICO so that more of such support would be channeled to CSR activities.

The IBO Lightweight World Champion, Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe described GLICO’s support as unprecedented, stating: “This cushioning is unprecedented; I have not seen such support in my entire career; you have really demonstrated that you cushion your clients for life”.

Come Saturday, January 27, 2018, the Bukom Boxing Arena would be a centre of excitement in Ghana as Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe defends his IBO light weight title in a bout with Argentine, David Fernando Saucedo. And truly, GLICO GENERAL would be there to cushion him for life to win the bout.
