The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) has honoured Awake Purified Drinking Water for its regular support to the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra.

Since the launch of Awake a couple of years ago, one its biggest selling point is its dedication of a percentage of each bottle sold to the cardio centre where any amount raised is presented to the centre every quarter.

At the CIMG’s recent Presidential Ball which came off at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), a citation presented to Kasapreko Company Limited, producers of Awake, read:

“The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) has taken note of your deliberate policy to set aside a percentage of your sales from the Awake Purified Drinking Water, one of your product lines towards assisting the Korle Bu Cardiothoracic Center.

Consistently, you have fulfilled the noble decision by occasionally donating to the cardio center at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The governing council of the CIMG in pursuant of its decision to honour corporate organizations whose policies or actions sync with the annual theme of the Institute has identified this practical marketing decision as being in line with the 2017 theme which is ‘Cause Related Marketing: A Panacea for National Behavioral Change’ and accordingly recognizes Kasapreko Company Limited’s Awake Purified Drinking Water as a thought leader in this area who’s cause related action has cascaded beyond the beverage industry into corporate Ghana where other institutions are following suit.

Your campaign ‘Awake Your Heart’ dedicated to the education of the public on the importance of the heart which accompanied the decision is well received within the society and established the brand in an indelible ink on the sands of time,” it added.

Since presentations began to the centre almost two years ago, Kasapreko has presented over GH¢500,000 to support the treatment of persons with heart-related issues which has gone into the treating of more than 20 patients.
