Some loyal customers of AirtelTigo who won in the two newly introduced nationwide promotion, which recognizes customer loyalty, have been given cash and phones prizes, at a ceremony in Kumasi.

Four of the eight customers, walked away with GHS1000.00 each while others also took home the latest Samsung Galaxy S9 phones.

Among the winners were James Odametey, a student, Isaac Okyere, also a student, Evelyn Addo, a filling station attendant and Bright Kwaku Yeboah, a trader.

The others included Wisdom Yevu, Akwasi Safo Gyasi, Kwame Boateng, and Stephen Baffour.

The two ongoing promotions dubbed ‘Win every day’ and ‘Fastest finger’ promotions, according to the Commercial Head of AirtelTigo, Ashanti region, Mr. Kwame Osafo-Amoah, is one of the excitement emerging from the recent merger, announced last year.

He noted that the promotion is aimed at recognizing and appreciating the customers for every spend they make on the network.

He explained that the ‘Win every day’ promotion which runs until April 18, when the ultimate winners will be annnouced crowned, will give away close to GHS 300,000 in cash prizes as well as other consolation prizes including latest iPhones X and Samsung Galaxy S9 among others.

In addition to this the ‘Fastest finger’ promotion, he said also gives latest Samsung phones as prizes to customers who reload airtime within some specific period of time.

Mr. Osafo-Amoah, observed that since the merger, AirtelTigo has commenced the process to integrate and harmonize networks to improve customer experience.

“We are improving our voice and data connectivity, leveraging the networks to give best quality voice and best data experience.”

He said for example that customers of any of the two formerly independent operating telecommunication networks who hitherto could not enjoy or access network services in some parts of the country now is able to enjoy coverage almost any part of the country due to the merger.

“Another thing we have done as a company is that call between Airtel and Tigo we have migrated the platform such that when you call Airtel to Tigo it doesn’t come with any extra charges unlike it existed previously when we were operating independently.”
