GIS Comptroller General honored by 2021 recruits

The Comptroller General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Kwame Asuah Takyi, has been honoured for his work and transformation of the service to deliver on its mandate.

A delegation made up of the 2021 GIS recruits led by Robert Tetteyfio Adjase presented the citation to him at his office.

He was excited about the honour and expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for the appointment.

“I am just a servant when I need something, I tell my sector minister and he forwards it to the President and it is done for us. This has help me bring my long experience to bear to ensure that the GIS continues to punch itself and do more to protect the sovereignty of the nation,” Mr Asuah Takyi said.

Citation

The citation presented to him read: “We ascribe all the glory, honour and profound gratitude to God for touching the heart of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana to appoint a purpose driven and a transgenerational leader in the person of Mr. Kwam Asuah Takyi as the Comptroller General of the reputable Ghana Immigration Service.

Indeed, Sir, it is your professionalism, kindheartedness, insightfulness, and exceptional words of encouragement and spirit of patriotism that made it possible for underprivileged youth like us to realize our childhood dream to serve in the indomitable Ghana Immigration Service.

It is undeniable fact that your extraordinary leadership prowess has brought remarkable transformation and huge respect to Ghana Immigration Service.  We cannot say thank you enough, we, therefore, present this citation to you as a memorial of our profound gratitude and also an endless prayer asking God to bless you and generations after you.

May you continue to find favour with the president of Ghana and may great doors to corridors of power and influence be opened to you without end.”
