Some airline passengers across the country are stranded following a sit-down strike by the Ghana Airport Workers Union.

The strike has disrupted airline operations at the various airports in Ghana.

This, according to some passengers has affected their business activities.

A passenger who gave his name as Joshua said he was going to the Volta region for a business trip but the disruption in the flight schedule compelled him go by bus which is very stressful.

“You can imagine we have to go through a hectic journey before getting to our destination to transact our business” he said.

Some staff of the aviation who spoke to the B&FT said, the strike would also affect the aviation activities.

All efforts to get management of the airport to respond to the issue proof futile.
