Olam Agri Corporate Communications Lead named among top 10 Women in PR

Naa Dzama Amu, Corporate Communications Manager at Olam Agri in Ghana, has been named among the Top 10 Women in Public Relations in Ghana for 2025 by Women in PR Ghana.

The annual recognition, which celebrates outstanding contributions to public relations and communications in Ghana, highlights professionals who have demonstrated strategic leadership and measurable impact in advancing organizational reputation and stakeholder engagement.

Naa Dzama’s selection follows the evaluation of a year in which she led communications for several flagship sustainability initiatives that positioned Olam Agri in Ghana as a benchmark for corporate responsibility within the country’s agribusiness sector. Among these was the Raising Generations initiative, implemented in partnership with the Ghana TVET Service, which has trained and certified nearly 100 bakers while establishing a scholarship scheme for bakers’ dependents.

In parallel, her coordination of the “My Healthy Baker campaign”, extended health and hygiene intervention reaching over 8,000 bakers, staff and distributors. Delivered in collaboration with Twentyth consult, municipal assemblies and the Ghana Health Service, the programme addresses food safety standards and public health imperatives within the informal baking sector.

The strategic communications work underpinning these programmes contributed to significant institutional recognition for Olam Agri Ghana in 2025. The company received the Ghana Business League Award for CSR and Sustainability Initiatives, the Association of Ghana Industries National Quality Award Gold for Food and was named Agro-Processing Company of the Year at the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Awards.

Beyond programme coordination, Naa Dzama has represented Olam Agri in Ghana at senior stakeholder forums, including the Ghana CEO Summit where she presented on the company’s environmental, social and governance framework. She has also coordinated ministerial and presidential-level engagements while serving as a mentor at the National Girls’ Speech and Debate Championship.
