Access Bank Ghana has rewarded about 20 winners in its mini and mega ongoing “Fa Ketewa Bɛgye Kɛseɛ” promotion.

The Fa Ketewa Bɛgye Kɛseɛ promo aims to promote financial literacy and encourage a stronger savings culture across the country.

In the Mega draw, the ultimate winner, who is the tier-three winner, got GH₵50,000 cash prize, while the tier-two and one winners walked away with GH₵30,000 and GH₵15,00 respectively.

The winners in the mini draw walked away with cash prizes ranging from GH₵1,500 for tier-one, GH₵4,00 for tier-two and GH₵8,00 for tier-three. Young participants in this category received a full year’s subscription to streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon and Spotify.

The promotion, which runs to the end of the year, thrives on the notion that ‘little drops of water make a mighty ocean and as such, current and potential clients need to deposit only GH₵250 to qualify to participate in the promo; and continued deposit of any amount at all boosts one’s chances of bigger winnings.

Retail Banking Department, Access Bank representative, Michael Gyabaah, speaking at the event, underscored the brand’s commitment to promoting savings culture among the youth and the general public.

“We believe in rewarding the loyalty of our customers and over the years, we have demonstrated that in many ways. This one is also to enlighten the public that savings is very essential for building a very strong capital foundation. You may start with a very small amount today, but we believe that with consistency, it can grow into big opportunities,” he said.

He indicated that this is the first mega draw and the second mini, adding that there will be two more mini and one mega before the end of the year.

By encouraging customers to put aside even modest amounts regularly, Access Bank Ghana is using the promotion as a tool to drive long-term behavioural change, inspire financial independence and promote inclusive banking.

In a country where many face competing daily financial demands, initiatives like this remind people that every little effort counts; and with consistency, the benefits can be both immediate and long-lasting.

A winner of the GH₵8,00, who gave his name as Richmond, a University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) student, expressed his excitement, indicating that he was in dire need of money to pay his school fees so the cash reward came in handy.

The ultimate winner of the first mega draw, Foster, a customer with the Osu Branch, was dumbfounded when he was called on the phone, finding it difficult to believe it was not a prank call.
