The acting President of the Ghana Association of Writers ( GAW), Dr. Charity Boateng, and her counterpart from the Association of Benin Writers, Ms. Adelaide Fassinou, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary-General of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA), Dr. Wale Okediran, at his office in Accra on July 23.

After congratulating Dr. Okediran for his recent renewed appointment, the two eminent visitors, who were also delegates at the recent PAWA Congress, later tabled important issues about their respective associations for discussion during the visit.

It is on record that Boateng and Fassinou also took part in the first African Women Writers Conference which took place in Morocco in 2023, where far reaching decisions confronting African women writers were taken.

During the visit to PAWA House, Ms. Fassinou presented copies of some of her award-winning books to the PAWA House Library.
