President Akufo-Addo has designated Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, as Minister responsible for pensions.
The appointment, effective Monday, January 30, 2023, pursuant to section 211 of the National Pensions Act 2008 (ACT 766), allows Mr Awuah to oversee the affairs of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) and the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
The appointment came to light during the minister’s appearance before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
