PGW-GH, Longrich launches Marketing Queen Pageantry to support female entrepreneurs

The Marketing Queen, a network marketing entrepreneurship pageant aimed at helping mitigate graduate unemployment among females in the country has been launched at the Longrich International office in Accra.

Developed by PGW-GH,a leading marketing partner of Longrich International, a consumer product manufacturing conglomerate, the Marketing Queen pageantry (MQP) is a unique pageant competition that will create a platform for ladies to exhibit their entrepreneurial marketing skills and business ideas for financial and networking opportunities to develop and aid job creation.

Contestants will be required to identify a business project they would love to undertake or have already started of which funds and other rewards achieved from the pageantry will go to support and sustain.

During the competition, the contestants are required to exhibit a strong interest, passion, and entrepreneurship skills. Their ability to blend their entrepreneurship skills with fashion, modeling, and promotion is also key.

The current 25 contestants will be equipped with a variety of skills, including sales, marketing, promotion, team building, leadership, and business development, and will be required to use these skills to promote the sponsors’ brand and drive sales.

At the end of the pageantry in 2023, the overall winner will go home with a crown, a car worth US$10,000, an all-expenses-paid vacation trip to Dubai or Singapore, an education scholarship worth GHȼ10,000, a brand ambassadorial deal with PGW-GH marketing company and her Longrich business pageant project account and funds accumulated in the account during the project period.

The first and second runner-ups will receive an education scholarship worth GHȼ5,000 and GHȼ3,000 respectively, a brand ambassadorial deal with PGW-GH marketing company, their Longrich Business pageant project account, and funds accumulated during the project period.

The third runner-up will go home with a brand ambassadorial deal with PGW-GH marketing company and her Longrich business pageant project account and funds accumulated during the project period.

Apart from the benefits, the pageant seeks to create public awareness of network marketing opportunities that the youth can explore for wealth creation.

“We believe that a project such as an entrepreneurship pageantry will seek not only to resource and empower the contestants but also provide a platform to educate the general public to understand and embrace the opportunities that network marketing businesses provide towards the growth of the economy,” Chief Executive Officer of PGW-Ghana, Kennedy Amoako has said.

He explained that the contestants would be funded to create personal business and community projects, in addition to receiving business coaching.

The contestants will be given network marketing-related challenges weekly to perform and the winners will be rewarded weekly with the top 10 finalists going into the grand finale TV reality show.
