ASA Savings and Loans, Fiapre Business Centres in the Sunyani Municipality, has supported the Hanukkah Children’s Home with foodstuff and school supplies. The items, which include toiletries and stationeries, according to ASA Savings and Loans, will assist the Home in the quest to deliver quality education to the 120 children.

The Sunyani Area Manager of ASA Savings and Loans, Mr. David Amevor, said the donation was part of the company’s social responsibility to support the children, who are within the confines of the company’s business community.

“We sometimes organise health screening for the children and their parents, including direct educational scholarship for many children in the municipality, but on this occasion, we decided to share our widow’s mite with the Hanukkah Children’s Home,” Mr. Amevor said.

He said ASA Savings and Loans will continue to show interest in the welfare of children, especially underprivileged ones, and in all communities that the business operates in Ghana.

He asked parents to continuously show interest in the education of their children and called on corporate Ghana to assist in helping children to realise their fullest potential.

The Branch Manager of Fiapre Business Centre, Abdulai Abrahaman, said the gesture would go a long way to empower and encourage the children to have a sense of belonging.

“Sometimes, these children might feel abandoned, but one of ASA’s policies is to engage and bring inclusivity to all sectors of the company’s operation, and children are part of our major concern since their parents form a chunk of our stakeholders. We are excited to have given the support and we hope to do more for children in the Fiapre Business Centre in the future,” he added.

Head of the Hanukkah Children’s Home, Moses Asagbo, expressed gratitude to Asa Savings and Loans, Fiapre Business Centre for the kind gesture and assured that the items would be used for the benefit of the children.
