Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank inaugurates Bantama branch

Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank Limited at Pakyi No 2 in the Ashanti Region has inaugurated its Bantama branch in the heart of the Race Course Market, as part of its branch expansion drive for the foreseeable operational year.

The Bantama branch-opening now brings to ten the total number of branches currently being operated by the bank, spread across various communities and towns in the region.

 

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Patrick Owusu, while enumerating some of the major steps taken to boost profitability for the bank was hopeful that the new branch will further improve operational performance.

 

According to the Board Chairman,  siting the tenth branch at Bantama fulfils the bank’s long cherished dream of providing enviable  banking  services to the people of Bantama and its adjoining communities.

The bank’s sizeable number of customers trade within  the Race Course and Kejetia Markets enclave and he believes that the Bantama branch will bring their services closer to them for convinient banking.

As pacesetters of rural banking in Ghana, Mr Patrick Owusu observed that the bank has been widely recognised in the country for almost thirty six years, and therefore urged existing and potential clients to confidently invest in the bank for good returns.

 

Speaking at a short but colourful ceremony to open the Bantama branch, the Board chairman urged market women within the Bantama and Race Course enclave to embrace the bank’s services and products particularly the petty traders.

 

He emphasized that the primary objective of siting the branch in the midst of the traders is to afford them the opportunity to take advantage of their credit products to improve and grow their businesses.

 

He assured the petty traders as well as other itinerant traders that their money is very safe with the bank and that they should have confidence in the bank and do business it.

 

The Chief Executive officer of the Bank, Dr Stephen Sarfo Kantanka in a brief remark assured customers and prospective ones particularly the petty traders at Bantama  and Race Course Market of a service that would make them relavant to the operations of the bank at all times that will give them financial inclusion.

“We have brought the bank much closer to you, and we urge you to take adavantage of its products and service to  expand your business,” he told customers.

He commended the Bantama branch staff for the effective service delivery so far, and reminded them of the work ethics in the banking profession.

Dr. Sarfo Kantanka advised the staff to uphold the working tenets of Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank that have always put the bank on top as a model for other rural banks in Ghana.

He however further advised them to eschew any form of financial malpractice, because the board will not hesitate to reprimand and further prosecute anyone found culpable or guilty of any form of operational misconduct.
