Maiden edition of Pensions Awards launched…set to come off on May 22

Nominations are open for the maiden edition of the Ghana Pensions Awards, slated for May 22, 2020 at the Movenpick Ambassador hotel, Accra. The event is organized by Ianmatsun Global Services in partnership with Firmus Advisory a leading research company in Ghana.

With nominations set to close on March 27, 2020 the Ghana Pensions Awards is being launched to give recognition to and honour the investment firms, consultancies and pension providers that have set the professional standards in order to best serve Ghana pension funds over the past years.

The Ghana Pensions Awards will be rewarding excellence in Ghana’s highly diverse and innovative pensions industry for the past 10 years and is the premier event of its kind to host the largest annual gathering of pension funds in Ghana.

The awards each year will recognize the bar-raising achievements of the diverse pension funds across the country and celebrate excellence by creating a meaningful broad set of benchmarks.

The overall aim of these awards is to recognize providers that offer the highest level of innovation, performance and service to occupational pension schemes and their members – and have done the most to improve this level of performance, service and innovation over the past years.

The awards will be chosen based on categories including Best Managed Personal Pension Plan, Best Managed Micro Pension Scheme, Best Managed Occupational Scheme, Best Managed Collective/Mutual Funds, Best Managed Public Sector Scheme, Best Pensions Education & Sensitization Initiative, Best Employer Sponsored Scheme and Best Scheme on Governance.

The rest include Board of Trustees of the Year, Chief Investment Officer of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Award, Corporate Trustee CEO of the Year, Corporate Trustee Client Service Excellence Award, Corporate Trustee of the Year, Custodian of the Year, Internal Administrator of the Year, Pension Fund Manager of the Year, Pension Journalist/Columnist/Writer of the Year, and Pension Law Firm of the Year.

Others are Pension Lifetime Achievement Award, Pensions Audit Firm of the Year, Pensions Consultancy firm of the Year, Pensions Consultant of the Year, Pensions Custodian of the Year, Pensions Educational Initiative of the Year, Pensions Insurance Firm of the Year, Pensions Investment Innovation of the Year Award, Pensions Personality of the Year, Pensions Technology Provider of the Year, Third Party (External) Administrator of the Year, and Trust Secretary of the Year.
