Eurorival Gh donates to two children’s homes

The group Eurorival Gh, in its bid to make a substantial spot in Ghana and as part of its mandate to reach out to communities via sports, has donated items to two orphanages in the Krowor and Ledzokuku districts of the Greater-Accra Region.

The donations were made at the New Life Nungua Children’s Home and Teshie Children’s Home respectively, during this year’s Eid Al-Fitr’s celebration. Items donated include cartons of cocopop, cartons of indomie, nose masks, soft drinks, cartons of digestive biscuits, tissue paper, stain bleach removal (Parazone) and bags of water.

President of the group, Emmanuel Akinsola, and entourage presented the items and shared a few words with the kids; noting that the group is committed to supporting vulnerable societies and communities in the country. “The gesture is just a token from Eurorival Gh to support orphans during this period for a successful Ramadan,” he said.

“Undoubtedly, every individual – irrespective of class or level – is a prospective victim or a carrier of any disease; and therefore, we want to show love to the needy and to help and educate via sports. We must also do well to accept everyone and help the few we can to gain higher heights on this journey of life, devoid of any form of destination,” Vice President of the group, Bob Roco Romeo stressed.

Among other objectives of Eurorival Gh, Thomas Hobor (TombLue), the brain behind the group said is to promote open-mindedness and harmony through sports and use it for educational programmes and dialogue, as well as to promote the acceptance of sports being a part of us.

Both orphanages visited expressed joy at the kind gesture and were very enthused with the items donated and promised it will be utilised properly.

“We’re grateful to you for thinking about us at this time of the novel corona virus. In addition to the items, we shall continue to enforce the safety directives to wear mask and wash hands frequently to reduce getting affected, and insist on mask-wearing,” they equally said.

The group shared lots of fun with the orphans and prayed for the homes.

Eurorival Gh is a sports group which supports different teams and are rivals in terms of club but united as a group. The general aims of Eurorival Gh is to mobilise all sports loving youth in Ghana, seek the general welfare of its members and reach out to the orphanage homes, vulnerable and deprived communities.
