Everpure Ghana Limited, a Tema based manufacturers and sole distributors of Ever Pure drinking water last week donated 200 packs of bottled water, 20 cartons of water, 500 bags of sachet water and 10 bottles of 2litres sanitisers to the Tema Regional Command and 200 bags of sachet water, 200 packs of bottled water and five pieces of 2litres bottle sanitisers to the Tema General Hospital respectively to support in the coronavirus.
Management of Ever pure explained that the donation is in response to COVID-19 because as a company operating in Ghana, it needs the citizenry in good health to survive. Thus, supporting the Tema Regional Police Headquarters and General Hospital would go a long way to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Tema Regional Commander, DCOP Edward Johnson Akrofi Oyerifi, said “the COVID-19 has come as a surprise which many governments are fighting to keep under control and put in some measures in place that will ensure the safety of citizens.
As security forces of Ghana, we are implementing the lock down as directed by President Akufo-Addo, and we are doing everything possible to keep everyone safe. Water is an essential component that can energise personnel on the ground for efficient work per their duties assigned,” he said.
He later thanked management of Everpure for the effort and kind gesture put in place and he acknowledge that in came at the opportune time.
Also, receiving the items on behalf of Tema General Hospital, Dr Richard Anthony, a Medical Director, thank the team from Everpure for thinking about them and added that he believes this will go a long way to help workers in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
Edbert Owusu Adjah, Everpure’s Commercial Director added that: “since water is life and a necessity commodity, we see that there is a need for people like you to have water to help aid the effort you’re putting in this trying times. As an essential water service provider, we deem it necessary to support you in our own little way.”
