Coronavirus: Ghana bans all public gatherings including churches, conference others

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has placed a four-week ban on all public gatherings as Ghana records six cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19).

In an address this event, the President said: “All public gatherings, including conferences, workshops, funerals and religious events such as church and mosque attendance, have been suspended for the next four weeks.” But the President allowed for private funerals of not more than 25 people in attendance.

The president urged Parliament to support the executive arm of government in containing the virus.
