2015 Ghana Teen Choice Award winner, Gambo Bashir, has released his single, ‘Kwacha’ to encourage the youth to live a happy life, devoid of the stress that life throws at them.
His management, BlackMob Record Label, said the song also encourages freedom from depression and anxiety.
The Ghanaian songwriter, trap rapper, entrepreneur and philanthropist, during a media briefing said, he seeks to contribute enormously to the Ghana Music Industry citing his willingness to collaborate with other artistes such as E.L, his favourite Ghanaian musician.
He added that ‘Kwacha’ came to him when he realized that many of the youth in Ghana are struggling and stressed out with life’s occurrences. He said he feels the need to encourage them to take a break from the hustle, pat themselves and have fun.
Production Manager of BlackMob, Prince Akwei Sekyere said “We are here to announce the release of his single, Kwacha and the release of its accompanying video . We believe Gambo is an act Ghana should watch out for. He has outlined his vision for the future as far as music is concerned and as a management, we will contribute immensely to the growth of the Ghanaian music industry”.
Gambo is the CEO of BlackMob, an organization setup to give the youth a platform to exhibit their talents, be it modeling, studio work, rapping or anything entertainment all over Ghana to Tanzania, U.S.A and worldwide.
He also doubles as the CEO of My Cellphone Repairs, which currently has three branches in Ghana; Accra, Kumasi, Kyebi and is working towards opening various branches in various places across Ghana.
He spoke about his intentions to support upcoming musicians in Ghana through his music label and recording studio – BlackmobGH.
The Trap rapper is a past student of PRESEC, Legon and of the University of Ghana. He was ranked amongst the top five upcoming African Acts in Spark Magazine with his song ‘Aye Aye’ featuring Fortune Dane and Legacy.
