COVID-19: Ghana’s confirmed cases now 2,169 with 229 recoveries

The total confirmed coronavirus cases have now reached 2,169 along with 229 recoveries with 18 recorded deaths, as at Saturday, May 2, Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced.

The latest development still puts the Greater Accra Region with the highest number of confirmed cases, of 1,852, followed by Ashanti Region with 117 cases.

The confirmed cases in the Eastern Region have now gone up to 87 cases, Central Region still with 21 cases, Oti and Upper East Regions with no new cases apart from the 19 cases each recorded earlier, and same with the Volta Region in 16.

Also, the Northern Region has now new cases apart from the 13 already confirmed cases, while the Upper West Region has 10 cases, Western Region with 9, also with no new cases recorded.

However, the Western North Region has now recorded 4 confirmed cases in total, and North East Region still with 2 confirmed cases.

This leaves only four regions in the country, including Savannah, Bono, Ahafo and Bono East Region with no cases recorded so far.
