COVID-19: Ghana’s case count crosses 2,000 mark, with one new death, more than 200 recoveries

The total number of confirmed coronavirus has now crossed 2,000 and currently stands at 2,074 with 212 recoveries and 17 deaths as of Thursday, April 30.

According to the Ghana Health Service’s disease surveillance, the latest development brings the case count per region to 1,795 recorded in the Greater Accra Region and followed by the Ashanti Region 99 confirmed cases.

Confirmed cases for the Eastern Region is now 70 with the Central Region also recording 21. The Oti Region and Upper East regions have both recorded 19 confirmed cases while the Volta Region has 16.

Meanwhile, the Northern Region has so far recorded 13 confirmed cases, the Upper West Region with 10 and the Western Region also recording 9 confirmed cases.

The regions with the least number of COVID-19 cases recorded include North East Region, with 2 cases and Western North Region also with a case recorded.

The other remaining regions, being Savannah Region, Bono Region, Ahafo Region and

Bono East Region have not recorded any cases.
