Ghana’s most trusted life insurer, SIC Life Company Limited, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has donated two thousand branded exercise books and a cheque of an undisclosed amount to support this year’s Ga Literacy and Inter-Schools Quiz.
This will be the third consecutive time SIC Life is sponsoring the event, which is annually organised by the Office of the Adabraka Atukpai (Otuopai) Mantse.
The presentation was done by officers from the Corporate Services Department on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the office of the Adabraka Atukpai (Otuopai) Mantse.
In expressing his utmost appreciation to management of SIC Life, the Adabraka Mantse, Nii Tetteh Adjabeng II, showered his fervent blessings on the company and prayed for a boom in all of its business operations.
“We want to thank SIC Life for supporting our project annually. In last year’s edition, they supported us with Ga books and exercise books. This project has been well-received and lauded by teachers and the Ghana Education Service. On behalf of the stool, we want to express our sincere gratitude to management; and it’s our prayer that there will be an increase in clientele. The branded exercise books will enable us to promote the SIC Life brand,” noted Nii Tetteh Adjabeng II.
The organisers aim at projecting a five-year plan starting in 2020. They intend distributing textbooks to the two competing communities; Adabraka and Osu. The 2020 edition, which has started but been temporarily put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, will see 24 schools in the Klottey Korle Constituency battle it out for the coveted title.
This will not be the first, neither will it be the last, time SIC Life has supported educative projects. For many years, SIC Life has sponsored the Ghana Teacher Prize Awards, UG Vice Chancellor’s Ceremony in Honour of Academic Award Winners, et al.
Through sound corporate social responsibility initiatives, the company has shown relentless support for education, health and other programmes which positively impact on the nation as a whole.
