The donation included bags of food items, gallons of cooking oil, toiletries and assorted drinks. The donation, according to the company, aligns with its philosophy of Raise Yourself to Help Mankind (RYTHM).

It also marks the third year in succession that the company has implemented its Ramadan CSR activities in Ghana. This year, the company has made similar Ramadan donations in over 15 countries around the world – including Ivory Coast, Mali, Cameroon, Senegal and Tanzania on the African continent.

Speaking at the ceremony in Tamale on the forecourt of the central Mosque, Biram Fall – QNET Regional General Manager for sub-Saharan Africa said: “The Ramadan charity campaign has been one of the company’s key campaigns every year to make a positive impact within the communities where it operates.

“It is indeed a very meaningful, heart-warming and fulfilling initiative for QNET. Such campaigns promote empowerment of the community, and are also very inspiring for our staff and independent representatives,” he said.

The Northern Region Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdul Salam Mohammed, expressed gratitude for the donation, saying it has come at a time needed to support celebration of the festivity.

He thanked QNET for the gesture and encouraged other corporate organisations to replicate the humanitarian and kind act.
