The National Election Committee of the Musicians Union of Ghana, in consultation with the National Executive Council and the National Executive Committee, has set June 24, 2020, as the new date for the Union’s national elections.
This follows the resolution of the court case regarding the elections and the National Executive Council meeting.
This year’s election will also focus on the union in exercising the universal right to vote in political elections for all card-bearing members to exercise their franchise.
According to the Communications Director of MUSIGA, Mr. Ahumah Bosco Ocansey (Daddy Bosco), Bice Osei Kuffour’s (Obour) eight-year reign as the President of the union has come to an end, and this development of the established resolution of the court issue has come as good news for the association, as they hope to elect new executives to spearhead their activities for the next four years.
The National Elections Committee wishes to assure all aspirants and members of the Union that measures have been put in place to ensure a free, fair and credible elections.
