Ghanaian reggae icon, Samini, has launched ‘Untamed’, his 7th studio album in the American city of Seattle. The project was outdoored to nearly a thousand patrons at the Seattle Arts Centre on the night of Thursday February 7.
The event was put together in collaboration with One Vibe Africa which also hosted the High Grade Family head huncho for this year’s ‘Kijiji Night’. Entirely dedicated to reggae, the album, comprises 22 songs (including previously released singles ‘My Own’ and ‘Obaa’ as bonus tracks).
Titles off the project include ‘Reggae Nice’, ‘Natty Dread’, ‘Old Man’s Radio’, ‘Mokpiera’, ‘Ethiopia’, ‘Reggae Dada’, and ‘Survival’. Majority of the production duty on the work was handled by Seattle-based Grammy nominees, Loud City Music. It features no guest acts.
The album, released months ago, has already chalked impressive feats, including presence on the Billboard Chart, and his unprecedented ‘Album of the Year’ win on Reggaeville, Europe’s biggest Reggae/Dancehall Network.
