Unilever Ghana Limited has served notice to the general public to disregard individuals or groups of persons claiming to be recruitment agents or agencies of the company on the various social media platforms.
The said persons, according to the statement released to the media, have been soliciting money from unsuspecting members of the public as facilitation fees.
A disclaimer from the company read: “Unilever Ghana has tracked activities of some individuals and group of persons on social media, purporting to act as recruitment agents/agencies for the company.
“They have been soliciting money from unsuspecting members of the public as facilitation fees. Unilever Ghana would like to draw the attention of members of the public to the activities of these scammers and caution against transacting business with them.”
It added: “Please take note that Unilever will not solicit money from you to facilitate your recruitment into the company”.
According to company, all job vacancies at Unilever are advertised on the company’s careers sites: www.unileverghana.com/careers/ and Unilever official LinkedIn page, and urged the public to visit these sites for information on all career opportunities.
